Business outcome

Enable industrial connectivity and digital transformation without introducing unmanaged cyber risks into operational environments.

Remote advisory and architecture delivery are available where appropriate, subject to client requirements, agreed scope and authorised access.

Scope and boundaries

Architecture, integration security, risk assessment and assurance—not embedded-firmware exploitation, hardware reverse engineering, automotive ECU or medical-device penetration testing.

Our approach

Digital connectivity, physical consequences

Cyber-physical systems (CPS) combine computation, communications and physical processes: sensors observe conditions, software processes information and automation influences equipment. Industrial IoT (IIoT) connects industrial sensors, devices and platforms to exchange operational data. These connections must respect the safety and availability requirements of physical operations.

New dependencies, new security boundaries

Connected devices, gateways and cloud integrations can introduce unmanaged exposure, inconsistent device identity and excessive data access. Vendor remote access and shared IT/OT services need explicit trust boundaries, controlled communication paths and useful monitoring—not implicit trust across networks.

An architecture-led approach

CYBRIEM defines system boundaries and operational requirements, reviews connectivity and identity, assesses risk and specifies security controls. Segmentation, constrained gateway paths and monitored access reduce exposure. Designs include documented assumptions, implementation dependencies and validation criteria to support operational resilience.

Controlled CPS and IIoT reference architecture

Approved enterprise sessions cross an industrial DMZ security boundary into authorised OT services. Constrained OT connections reach IIoT gateways and industrial devices. Each boundary forwards security telemetry to monitoring. There is no unrestricted enterprise path to physical processes.
